Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are commonly referred to as “caps,” and they can be crafted using gold, porcelain, zirconia, porcelain fused to metal, and EMAX. Made to fit over the visible portion of a damaged or decayed tooth, a dental crown offers protection for the vulnerable tooth while also allowing improved function when it comes to eating, smiling, and speaking. They can be crafted in as little as two appointments and can last anywhere from 10-15 years.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dr. Diaz believes in providing conservative dentistry. This is why he will begin by prescribing fluoride toothpaste to treat cavities. However, for dental caries that are much larger, he uses tooth-colored fillings. Consisting of composite resin that is matched to a person’s natural enamel shade, its flexible consistency allows patients to keep more of their tooth structure and enjoy a perfectly blended restoration that remains virtually invisible.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

When needing to replace or rebuild a patient’s teeth because of severe damage, serious decay, or a genetic condition, Dr. Diaz may recommend full mouth reconstruction. This in-depth form of treatment uses an extensive approach by combining several dental procedures into one plan. Requiring multiple steps to ensure successful results, appointments will likely be spread out over several weeks (or months) to allow for proper healing after each procedure.
