Advanced Dental Services and Technology Dallas

Using Innovative Technologies to Provide Conservative Treatment

At Advanced DDS of Dallas, Dr. Diaz wants patients to have access to the most advanced forms of treatment. This is why you will find an array of devices and equipment that may not be available in other dental offices throughout the area. The technology we use delivers higher-resolution images and more accurate diagnoses so that treatment plans generate the kind of healthy, beautiful, and transformational results our Dallas patients desire.

Digital Impressions

When a dental crown or veneer must be created, lab technicians rely on dental impressions. While traditional ones required patients to bite down on messy dental putty that took three to five minutes to set, our iTero digital impression system makes the process much easier. Not only does it eliminate the need for gag-worthy material, but it is far more efficient and produces a detailed mold that allows for more precise restoration.

DIAGNOdent Cavity Detection System

Diagnodent cavity detection system

The DIAGNOdent cavity detection system is a unique device that dentists use to identify cavities in their earliest stages. Consisting of a handheld wand, it scans the teeth to determine their overall health and if any decay currently exists. Its optimal precision can detect problem areas before they are visible to the naked eye, making it easier to administer appropriate treatment before it becomes a more serious dental issue that requires restorative care.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

The Planmeca CT/Cone Beam Scanner is commonly used when a patient requires dental implant surgery. While used for other complex treatments, the device is a game-changer for those who want to replace their missing teeth. It scans a person’s mouth and face, producing hundreds of photos that combine to create a 3D model. Perfect for planning purposes, Dr. Diaz and our team can better navigate the blood vessels, bones, tissues, and nearby facial structures to ensure proper implant placement.

The Wand

When a patient must receive anesthesia for a particular procedure, Dr. Diaz can use The Wand, which is a useful tool that is designed to minimize any fear or discomfort associated with needles. It is a computer-controlled injection that restricts how fast the anesthetic is administered to the gums. As a result, it not only uses less anesthetic to numb one or more teeth but also helps create a more enjoyable and comfortable experience for patients.

Intraoral Camera

Our intraoral camera is a handheld, camera-tipped device that allows for easier viewing when examining a patient’s mouth. While looking for areas of decay, the captured images are displayed on a chairside monitor so that the patient can see what is happening in real-time. Dr. Diaz can then better educate an individual on the state of their oral health and how to properly take care of their teeth and gums in between appointments.
