The challenge of always adapting, creating natural-looking restorations, and crafting pleasing smiles for each person is a lifelong pursuit that he finds endlessly interesting and fulfilling. With Dr. Diaz, you’ll gain more than a dentist in Dallas, but rather an oral health advocate who will help you protect and maintain your well-being and confidence for many years to come.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Diaz’s interest in dentistry began in the 6th grade when he coincidentally chose to study tooth decay and caries for a science project. He decided to interview his uncle, a Mexican dentist visiting the U.S., and was quickly swept up in his enthusiasm for his profession and affection for the people he served.
Years later, this passion for healthcare led Dr. Diaz to volunteer at hospitals and HIV-positive dental clinics. He initially couldn’t decide whether he should pursue medical school or dental school, but the decision was easy after he spent some time shadowing dentists. The blend of art and science instantly seemed like the perfect fit for his skills and life goals, and he felt it would enable him to meaningfully give back to his community.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Dr. Diaz earned his DDS at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. This was followed by attending a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency.
Since finishing school, Dr. Diaz has taken many advanced courses through the renowned Pankey Institute and Spear Education. Today, he has certifications in Invisalign, oral sedation, nitrous oxide sedation, Botox, and dermal fillers.
On top of his education, Dr. Diaz’s real-world experience includes working with pediatric, geriatric, and special needs patients, and he has participated in international charity dentistry in both Mexico and Vietnam.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Diaz is the oldest of four siblings and comes from a family of Mexican immigrants who first came to the U.S. in the 1980s. At the end of his dental residency, he volunteered with multiple organizations whose mission is to provide basic dental care to underprivileged populations throughout the world. He spent quite a bit of time in Vietnam and went on to backpack across the world for six months, which he says became a defining experience for him. He is an avid traveler to this day!
Back home, his time outside of the office is often taken up by practicing yoga and serving as a board member for After8Educate, an organization that provides services to 4,000+ homeless students in the DISD system.
